  • Overview

    The primary role of the Legal/HR Administrative Assistant is to provide general administrative assistance to the General Counsel and the Director of Human Resources.  This would include assisting in ensuring that all policies, procedures, and legal statutes are followed by performing a wide variety of clerical, administrative, and office support duties.


    • Performs a range of diverse administrative activities in the resolution of a variety of day-to-day matters.
    • Provides support activities such as answering telephones and assisting and resolving problems/inquiries of visitors/customers.
    • Prepares word processing memos, letters, reports and other Legal/Human Resources related forms.
    • Reviews, assesses, prioritizes, monitors status of pending items, follow up and keep the General Counsel and HR Director informed.
    • Establishes, updates, organizes and maintains files and records; implements and maintains data management systems, as required.
    • Performs other general administrative duties such as copying, data entry, filing, and mailings.
    • Handles communication of sensitive and confidential nature appropriately.


    Additional Functions:

    • Occasional payroll-related assistance
    • Other duties as assigned


    • High school diploma or equivalent work experience, with considerable experience in general office work including customer service work.
    • Experience with real estate law, title insurance and Human Resources is desirable but not required
    • PC literacy is required including proficiency with word, excel and email systems.
    • Excellent written and communication skills. Ability to understand and carry out specific written and oral direction.
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Must possess and maintain great social skills and upbeat personality.
    • Must maintain and honor confidentiality.
